Top 5 Couples Halloween Costumes

Miracle Jeff

Can you feel it in the air? That brisk, crunchy leaf vibe radiating through the atmosphere. It's fall, baby. And I could have an entire site dedicated to how much I love fall (flannels, Mumford and Sons, puberty (for some)). But really what you should be getting amped for is Halloween season. I myself have gone through my own "seasons" with this holiday. As a young Jeff, I wore my Scream costume 4 years in a row and collected as many Sweet Tarts as possible. As a slightly older and teenage Jeff, I thought it was lame. Now fast forward to present day, it's an excuse to gather up with your kin and dress up as something stupid. What's not to like?

A #BodybyBourbon man myself, I need to make sure that me and the Mrs. Jeff are lighting the world on fire on that fateful Halloween night with immaculate costumes that will foster jealous murmurs for fortnights after the celebration's end. Want to sit with the cool kids? Hop onto the party bus with us with any of these stellar couples costumes.

#5: Duel Slendermans

Whoa! I know what you're thinking, maybe a bit too spooky? Yes, it's true you don't want moans of fear and dread following you around the party, but what you might not realize is those gasps and guffaws will really be in awe of how good you and your sweetie look. "A Creepy Pasta come to life, at my party?" the host will coo. I guarantee this is a showstopper. And who says you need to take them off once the party is over *wink wink*.

#4: Shrek and Donkey

First off all, just think of the quote potential. This movie series has at least 14 sequels and you and your partner can use this time (starting now, close out the article and head to IMDB) to memorize full scenes of banter between these two timeless characters. IMPORTANT: the accents are incredibly important to nail. No accents, no costume, no fun. This is a high risk, high reward play so make sure if you go this route you are willing to play for keeps.

#3: BONUS: All the members of Slipknot

Get outta town! If you haven't subscribed to this blog yet... I bet you will after seeing good old option #3. We're talking about MULTIPLE couples here who can gang up and create one of the 90's favorite angsty metal bands! Thinking about going on a couples trip? Here's your hack to save a bunch of dough and avoid the Corona! This amazing costumes includes premium costumes for up to 4 couples. Have a friend who always seems to be the 9th wheel? Problem solved. Let him or her be Joey Jordison and you'll make their Halloween one to never forget.

#2: Mud

Ah, yes. The old ace in the hole. Mud. Before you laugh and say "I was mud in 2017" or "mud is wet dirt" you need to understand the possibilities here. This rarely attempted costume has little to no existence on the internet because, frankly, people are afraid. There are just too many possibilities with mud. Mud monster? Terrifying, good call. Sexy mud? Oh yeah, sorry just got out of my mud bath forgot Halloween was tonight. Intellectual mud? You can bring along your own mud samples an explain to your friends how you constructed your own homemade mud. My prediction for Halloween 2020 is that mud will by far become the new Joker costume. Just you wait.

#1: Adorable Danish Couple

Alright, this number one spot is a bit of a two-fer. At #BodybyBourbon, we like to think outside of the box. First what I have to offer you is this beautiful couple from Denmark. They are Danish as you can see, a simple chimney sweep and an upper-class snack that is definitely not Mary Poppins (no fact checking). It's understated, it's frankly lovely, and it's bound to win the hearts over of your fellow Halloweeners. But let's go double time on this one and say they dress up as a couple of Danish pastries. Two Danish Danes. I really should be charging you for this.

Did I miss any of your favorite Halloween costumes? Let me know in the comments. I want to see everyone dressed up this year, and although we all want to be #mud, let's try not to be all at once.
